About Lakeview Lodge

This typical historic Boer area – an 8.6 ha plot on the Kaapsehoop Road outside of

Nelspruit was bought by Tony van Eijk back in 1995 with the plan to be magically

transformed into a unique Star Graded Lodge.

The Entrance of the Lakeview Lodge is the old historic, wagon wheel road trail

of Nelspruit, Kaapsehoop . Even the bridge on the Nelsloop River still exists. The

old farm houses on the property were rebuilt and restored into luxurious houses,

and the garages and outside buildings were rebuilt into luxurious chalets.

The original historic farm house which was built in 1910 was also amazingly

rebuilt and transformed into a modern restaurant without losing the historic

atmosphere. The spacious lounge, with a bar and social fire place area with the

thatch roof atmosphere is one of its kind. Lakeview's Caravan Park on the other

hand , situated on historic agricultural fields have been magically transformed into

the terraced Caravan Park where families can enjoy a fun filled family getaway for

all to thoroughly enjoy!

Lakeview Lodge, with rolling lawns and gardens, makes this the ideal family self

catering accommodation in Mpumalanga. Unspoiled bushveld, enriched with large

old paper-bark-thorn trees, beautiful walking and bird watching paths, fishing in

the dam - all makes this a wonderful stay!

Relax around the swimming pool, dip your feet in the waters of the dam and just

Socialise around the cash bar, or enjoy a meal in the restaurant.

Close to all the attractions of the Panorama Route in Mpumalanga, this Nelspruit

accommodation gives you the best of both worlds, just a few minutes drive from

town and wonderful shopping malls, yet seemingly far away from the hustle and

bustle of daily life.
